Tarunima picked up her camera as a way to compensate for her drawing skills and to express her love for capturing moments as they naturally unfold. Over time, she navigated various roles in life—researcher, social worker, and mother—all with her camera as a constant companion.“I don’t remember the first time I held my camera, but I do remember how it made me feel—captivated. That feeling hasn’t changed. Since then, I haven’t been able to leave my camera, or perhaps, the camera hasn’t left me. It’s a part of me, helping me communicate, connect, and remember.”Through her photographs, she seeks to leave behind a story, with each image inviting viewers to look deeper into what it was or is.
